RAINY SUN | MORE >

Rainy Sun is the name of our company. This term is a weather phenomenon in Bogotá that refers to its unpredictability; sunny and hot mornings can turn into severe storms and very cold afternoons or viceversa. We wanted to use a term that would represent, not only the country that we come from and where we are living now but also, something that would refer to our differences as far as personalities, vision and design skills.
(more history please check the “about us” page)

For the corporate image we had different approaches, from literal rain drops to a more simple and abstract design. We wanted to create a simple and sophisticated logo, clean, easy to read, easy to remember and unique. We create a solid shape (resembles a water drop) that would help to anchor the logo and the font in reverse was specially created by Jorge Márquez. The font, is not too serious or heavy but not too loose or light either, because we want people to get the feeling and understand through our design that Rainy Sun is a fun and highly creative company, but also solid, complete, responsable and reliable.

As far as colors we wanted the possibility to play around depending on the season, our mood, the current trends, etc. So we kept it in black because black is elegant, timeless, clean and it just looks great against pretty much every color, and if we feel like changing it for a specific piece or design we are confident that the brand will carry on through the shape and the font.

Hope you guys like it as much as we do…
